...fleeting...

...clematis flakes taken today...

...it is rare to NOT have a white christmas here in MN...day before yesterday i caught a fleeting glimpse...the top clematis snaps were taken today when another flurry started...it is blustery and windy out so no chance of seeing indivuals like the bottom shots...in all my years of snow flake watching, i have never seen (or heard) snowflakes like this...so completely formed and solid when they landed on the dried garden plants, i could hear them...it was only an instant and then they were falling apart...and the lacing only lasted minutes...a holiday gift i will always treasure...may peace always follow you and light be your guide...xo...see you next year...

Merry Christmas to you Jean...these snowflakes are quite a miracle and your camera must have a wonderful macro lens. I love the delicacy of these photos...my camera is dying and my husband had trouble with it tonight so maybe after Christmas we will search for a new model. God bless you! Mary Helen

I have to admit that I thought you had taken some scrapbook embellishments or punched paper snowflakes and added them to your picture because the flakes are sooo perfect. What an amazing, natural sight!
Jean, hope you have a Merry Christmas!

A true gift, so amazing and you captured them perfectly. I just heard on WCCO that amazing was an over used word in 2011. I and my husband grew up in western Minn near Wadena.
Such wonderful photos, and yes so quickly gone.
